Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Bangalore On arrival at Bangalore airport/railway station in the morning, meet our representative who will transfer you to your already booked hotel in Bangalore. Check-in at the hotel and get ready for a Bangalore city tour. In today’s day tour, we’ll be visiting the Bangalore Place, Ulsoor Lake, Lal Bagh, Cubbon Park, and Vidhan Sudha. In the evening, we’ll be visiting the museums and art galleries. Following that, we’ll return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Bangalore.
Day 2: Bangalore – Mysore (150km-4hrs) Today, we’ll begin our day with a drive to Mysore. En route, we’ll be visiting Srirangapatnam, which is the capital of Tipu Sultan. Thereafter, we’ll continue our trip to Mysore. On reaching Mysore, check-in at the hotel and freshen up. Thereafter, we’ll leave for the sightseeing of Mysore. Within our daily tour, we’ll be visiting the famous tourist destinations of Mysore. We’ll begin our day tour by paying a visit to Krishnarajasagar Dam, Mysore Palace, and Brindavan Garden. Later in the evening, we’ll return to the hotel for a relaxing stay in Mysore.
Day 3: Mysore Sightseeing Today after having a healthy breakfast in the morning, proceed for the local sightseeing tour of Mysore that will have a visit to the Mysore Palace, Zoological Park, the Chamundi Hills, and the Bull Temple. Later in the evening, we’ll return back to the hotel for a relaxing stay in Mysore.
Day 4: Mysore – Coorg (120km-4hrs) After morning breakfast, proceed to Coorg, “The Scotland of India”. On reaching Coorg, we’ll check-in at the hotel. The night time is free at leisure. During your spare time, you can stay back in your spacious room and rest or enjoy the conveniences of the hotel. An overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 5: Coorg Sightseeing In the morning after breakfast, we’ll embark on a sightseeing tour of Coorg and have a fantastic time. In our day tour, we’ll be visiting some of the major attractions of Coorg including Talakaveri, Madikeri Fort, Omkareshwara Temple, Raja’s Seat, Abbey falls, and the astounding spices and coffee plantation in the evening. Thereafter, we’ll return to the hotel to enjoy a calming overnight stay.
Day 6: Coorg -Wayanad (140km-4hrs) After morning breakfast, now it’s time to depart for Wayanad. Reach & check-in at the hotel and relax for some time amidst the comfort of your hotel room. Proceed to the panoramic Chembra Peak that is sure to rejuvenate any tired soul and make for an exciting experience. Later back to the hotel for a long rest after your dinner. Today your stay would be in Wayanad.
Day 7: Wayanad Sightseeing Enjoy a delicious breakfast and immerse yourself in the greenery and waterfalls of Wayanad. The attractions include a boating trip on Pookot Lake, surrounded by tall trees and dense forests which offer a visual treat. You can also visit Soojipara Falls, Banasura sagar, which is the 2nd largest earth dam in Asia, and Edakkal Caves, where etchings on the walls have drawn critical attention from archaeologists and historians worldwide. Other tourist attractions include Pakshipathalam and Meenmutty Waterfall. Your stay will be in Wayanad.
Day 8: Wayanad – Ooty (120km-4hrs) After a healthy breakfast, check out of your hotel and proceed to Ooty. En route, explore the beautiful Pykara Lake. Continue your drive to Ooty and check in to your pre-booked hotel. Later, visit the tea museum along with Ooty Lake, where you can enjoy boating. Enjoy dinner followed by a relaxing stay.
Day 9: Ooty sightseeing After a sumptuous breakfast, head to Coonoor by either opting for a toy train or a personal car. On reaching, visit Sim’s park, lamb’s stone and dolphin’s nose. Return back and proceed for further sightseeing in Ooty, which includes Botanical Garden, Doddabetta Peak and Charring Cross. Later, return to the hotel for a comfortable stay in Ooty.
Day 10: Ooty – Munnar (240Km-7hrs) After breakfast, proceed to Munnar, a tiny town in the Western Ghats known for its photogenic towns, mist-clad rolling mountains, extensive tea gardens, sanctuaries, and desirable climate. Check in to the hotel on arrival and enjoy the rest of the day in nature. Your stay will be in Munnar.
Day 11: Munnar sightseeing Wake up to the cool breeze of Munnar, relish your breakfast, and visit the Eravikulam National Park (closed from 20 Jan to 30 Mar), where you can see the well-known Nilgiri Thar. Later, proceed to Mattupetty & Kundala Dam, where you can enjoy boating through the reservoir flanked with tea gardens on one side and never-ending Grassland on the other. The Echo Point is a popular stopping point for tourists due to its echo phenomenon. Also, visit Shooting Point and Tea Museum. Your stay will be in Munnar.
Day 12: Munnar – Thekkady (140km-4hrs) After breakfast, drive to Thekkady, a destination popular among nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts, offering diverse attractions such as a wildlife sanctuary, hill station, and a spice plantation. Check in to the hotel on arrival, freshen up and unwind in the comforts of your room. Later, visit Periyar National Park, the most attractive feature of Thekkady. Enjoy a wildlife cruise over the Periyar Lake to see wildlife animals. You may also enjoy other activities such as a spice plantation tour, bamboo rafting, jungle trekking, and elephant rides. Don’t forget to visit the local spice market to buy handicrafts and fresh spices. Your stay will be in Thekkady.
Day 13: Thekkady – Gavi Sightseeing (40kms-1hrs) Early Morning before 7.00am move to Gavi, a renowned eco-tourist place in Kerala, which became popular following its listing as a significant eco-tourism center and one of the must-see places in India by Alistair International, the world-famous tourism major publication. Reach Gavi by 8.00 am and register. After breakfast, enjoy a plantation visit with a professional guide to fully appreciate the pure beauty of Gavi. After a vegetable lunch, proceed for a calming rowboat ride, followed by a visit to the cardamom plantation to inhale the aromatic whiffs of cardamom and then to the healing house. Next, visit Sabarimala point of view, a panoramic beauty spot where you can catch scenic views of the Sabarimala mountains and the pilgrim place. Later, proceed to the museum where the skeletons of animals are preserved. Indulge yourself in a refreshing tea break before dispersing at 4.30 pm. Back to the hotel, today your stay would be in Thekkady. (Today’s activity charges, like off-road vehicle and Gavi package cost, will be charged extra)
Day 14: Thekkady – Kumarakom (140kms-4hrs) After a delicious breakfast, proceed to Kumarakom. Reach and check-in to the hotel. Freshen up and unwind with the comforts of your room. Spend your day at leisure. Today your stay would be in Kumarakom.
Day 15: Kumarakom After morning breakfast, visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. The important attraction of Kumarakom is the bird sanctuary that lies in the edge of the lands of an old estate in which an abundance of all sorts of birds can be observed. Different domestic birds like cuckoo, wild duck, egret, darters, herons, teal, and water bird could be seen in abundance here, just as much as the Siberian stork that migrates to this area every year. Today your stay would be in Kumarakom.
Day 16: Thekkady – Alleppy Houseboat (140km-4hrs) After staying with nature, relish the morning breakfast, and proceed to Alleppey. Check-in to the houseboat, which is an indigenously developed and designed private vessel with fully furnished spacious bath-attached bedrooms, hygiene kitchen, dining area, and private front deck to catch the beauty of the backwaters. Cruise through the coconut-fringed narrow canals, and the exceptional life of the backwater. Individuals and, above all, the nature around you will make long-lasting impressions on your mind. Today your stay would be in Houseboat.
Day 17: Alleppey Houseboat – Varkala (110 kms. – 3½ hrs.) Enjoy breakfast. Later proceed to Varkala. Reach and check-in at the resort. Freshen up and relax with the comforts of your room. Go for a stroll on the beach daylong. Greenedge Holidays presents Varkala, a calm and quiet little city lying on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram district. The secluded beach on the background of rocky deserts Varkala Beach offers a perfect contrast with the breaking waves. Papanasam Beach is among the notable places of Varkala Beach. The day sun dipping slowly into the mammoth sea and filling the whole place with the colors red and orange is a stunning view.
Day 18: Varkala Enjoy breakfast and then embark on a sightseeing tour of the Janardhana Temple, which is over 2000 years old and an excellent example of Kerala’s art and architecture. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Next, visit the Sivagiri Mutt, a religious site founded by Sree Narayana Guru, a prominent philosopher and social reformer in modern Kerala. Finally, explore Kappil Lake and admire the scenic beauty of the estuaries of the lake.
Day 19: Varkala – Kovalam (70km-2hrs) Wake up early to watch the sunrise and then enjoy your breakfast. Check out and proceed to Kovalam, an internationally renowned beach destination. Check into the resort at noon and spend the rest of the day leisurely on this palm-fringed beach. The beach is protected by a massive rocky promontory, making it safe for swimming and water sports. Spend the night in Kovalam.
Day 20: Kovalam – Trivandrum – Kovalam After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Trivandrum. Visit the Padmanabhaswami Temple, known for its towering gopuras, temple arts, and paintings. The temple’s main pavilion stands tall with 400 wonderfully carved granite columns. Your tour also includes the Napier Museum, Zoological Park, and Shunmugam Beach. In the evening, return to Kovalam and spend the night there.
Day 21: Trivandrum Departure (40km-1hr) Enjoy breakfast and then pack your bags with a promise to return to this beautiful part of the world. Proceed to Trivandrum International Airport on time to catch your flight home. Bon Voyage! Service ends.
Inclusion & Exclusion
Greenedge Holidays offers well-appointed room accommodations at the base category hotel on a twin or triple sharing basis. Guests will enjoy a daily buffet or fixed menu breakfast at the hotel and delicious Kerala cuisine meals during their houseboat stay. A comfortable A/C Indigo or small sedan vehicle will be provided for all transfers and sightseeing to the listed destinations for 2-3 pax. All applicable hotel taxes are included.
Please note that the package cost excludes any meals apart from those mentioned, Christmas Eve Gala Dinner and Gala Dinner, airfare or train fare, mandatory Christmas and New Year Eve Gala Dinners (which will be charged extra), entrance fees to amusement parks and boating charges not included in the inclusions, portage at airports and hotels, tips, insurance, wine, mineral water, telephone charges, and all items of personal nature. Any services not specifically mentioned in the inclusions, and expenses caused by factors beyond our control like rail and flight delays, roadblocks, vehicle malfunctions, political disturbances, etc.
It’s important to note that the above package is only an offer and not a confirmation. We will proceed with the booking only after receiving confirmation from you. In case the hotels mentioned are unavailable, we will provide alternate hotels of a similar category. Check-in time at the hotel is 14.00 hrs, and check-out time is 11.00hrs. Booking confirmation is subject to availability, and the above rates are valid for the mentioned period only. The Eravikulam National Park, Munnar, will remain closed from 01 Feb to the first half of April every year.
For guests interested in Kerala Houseboat services, please note that the check-in time is 12.00 hrs, and check-out time is 09.00 hrs. Houseboats will be stationed at one place from 6:00 pm to 8:00 am the next day due to government restrictions. Each houseboat comes with a navigator, cook, and a helper. In Deluxe category Houseboats, A/C will be operational from 9.00 pm to 6.00 am the next day. In Premium Houseboats, A/C will be operational as per guest request anytime. No two houseboats are of the same size and quality, and the interiors of each houseboat vary. Houseboats are for exclusive use and are not shared by other guests unless specified. Guests are requested to carry mosquito and insect repellents since the boat is anchored along the waterway at night. Always keep the door of the bedroom and washroom closed to avoid mosquitoes and insects. The choice of food is limited, and mostly South Indian cuisine is served. The quality of the houseboat cannot be compared with that of hotels, where the guests were staying previously. Houseboat rooms are small in size and have basic amenities.
